Botox injections are the most common therapy for injections and there are different ways of injecting. The needle is very, very thin so you just feel a little prick. Nothing to be afraid of. Close your eyes and visualize a sunset or something peaceful.
There are people who are trying drugs, but with little success. People who have had ADSD for years and are heavily impacted by SD, often opt for surgery, but that is a huge step.
In taking botox injections, keep in mind that you will have to try it several times to get the dosage that is right for you. I had 2 units done bilaterally. There will be down time afterward as the botox weakens your muscles, so you have larygitis type symptoms. As the botox wears off, your voice will return to normal for about 3 months.
