Spasmodic Dysphonia Bulletin Board

Apparently, this week's program was a re-airing of what was shown in the spring of last year.

The woman on ABC News had "functional dysphonia", "where the vocal cords get very tight and locked into position, making them unable to vibrate to produce sound".

Functional dysphonia would be different from spasmodic dysphonia which is a neurological voice disorder.

I'm sorry that there are no SD support groups near you. I agree with you that this bulletin board serves as a vehicle of information and support for many.
