Edit
I have had AdSD since 2001. I was correctly diagnosed at the Cleveland Clinic in 2007 and began getting BOTOX injections. I am fortunate in that the injections typically work well for me. It takes some time and experimenting to get your best dosage. There are many factors involved like side effects vs length and degree of benefits. Even then, there are many factors that affect the effectiveness of a particular injection. I have had good shots and ineffective ones. My doctors at CCF told me that there is no cure for SD. There have been a couple of stories about people getting "cured" for voice issues by CCF doctors. They did not have SD. I have included a link from another doctor who blogged about the recent news story (http://fauquierent.blogspot.com/2012/01/misleading-foxnews-report-laryngitis.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+fauquierent+%28Fauquier+ENT+Consultants%29).

Please feel free to contact me anytime you want to chat with another SDer. I can introduce you to some others who would be happy to correspond with you too.
