Hi everyone, I recently quit my job as a travel agent after 6 long years! I'm looking at changing careers & was hoping for some ideas/tips for jobs! I have a fairly mild case of ADSD (and I suspect combined with MTD). I still really hate the phone & would really prefer a job with low vocal demands. Less stress! I am a bit sick of the botox rollercoaster. Even after lowering my dose to .75 unit unilaterally I would still have a terrible voice for 2 weeks. At that point I would have to go back to work & have an OK but weak voice for another week or two. Then I would have to wait another 5-6 months until I could get enough annual leave up to go through it again. Botox would only last 3-4 months. Using all of your holiday leave to get botox is not fun. I am very self conscious of this condition & most people do not know I have it as I go to great lengths to hide it & sound 'normal'. I even avoid people as much as possible for the 2 weeks while recovering from botox by 'hiding' at home. My initial joy at finally quiting my job has worn off now that I have been job hunting for 3 months. I see some jobs that interest me, but then I read the role description & see that telephone skills are required. I still want to earn a half decent wage as I was on AUD$55K a year. I just thought I would see what kind of jobs everyone does. Any ideas would be appreciated. ADSD since 1998 |
