Hi
I'm Sarah and I live in Boston, MA. I am 24 and developed SD about a year and a half ago. Ironically, I am study for my Master's in Speech Language Pathology. Being diagnosed with SD was devastating to me. But with treatment (botox injections) and therapy I have regained my voice. I have been lucky enough to have a good voice for now but the thought of the botox wearing off is always on my mind. I often have nightmares where I'm getting ready to see a client and all of a sudden my voice goes in the middle of the therapy session. No matter how much I think SD stinks, I try to use it in a positive way. I know what its like to be a client and I also know how hard it is when you don't have a voice.
