I have had a choking sensation but when you know that it's transitory it's okay. Tensing up isn't going to help the situation. I've never had an anesthetic. Dr. Berke at UCLA just goes straight in through the front of the throat and injects. It's called the Touch Point method. You're in and out of there in five minutes.
