Hi. I only had problems swallowing my one-a-day vitamins, so I gave those up. My problem was a sore throat which lasted over a week, but it was worth it. When I received my botox, I had a bad choking sensation for a minute or so which was really scary. It has been two months, and I plan to have botox again in about a month. I am a retired teacher and counselor, and there is no way I could have taught or counseled if I had gotten SD earlier. I have very little volumn, and if I am under stress, my voice cracks even worse. Speech therapy has not helped. I would recommend joining an SD group if there is one in your area. I have found our group to be very helpful. Good luck!
