I am a teacher who has ADSD. I have had difficulty swallowing after BOTOX injections. With my first injection, I couldn't swallow any liquids for the first two weeks. With all of the other injections (lower dosages), I have difficulty that is completely manageable. For me, temperature helps. Hot and cold liquids work better. Also, drinking with a straw and leaning my head forward a little helps. It is necessary for me to remember to think about each drink and to take sips. Thicker drinks work better. Everyone is different. These are my coping mechanisms. I respond very well to BOTOX injections, so the side effects are definitely worth the period of spasm-free talking.Carol
