I have had SD since 1992 but just 2 years ago I found out about the Botox injections and Dr. Berke at UCLA. My first experience was GREAT! I started talking within about 5 days and there after it has taken me about 3 to 4 weeks,but it has balways been good. I have my Botox injections every 4 months. Allergen has been excellent in donating the botox.
For me I call this good results, not being able to speak for so many years and to have my voice back. Wow! amazingly wonderful, I feel I can be myself. I can be heard on the phone. I don't need anyone to help me make calls or anyone hanging up on me thinking I am making prank calls.I can not speak too loud or my throat gets irritated but I have learn to speak lower and softer with good quality voice.
