Sounds like it may be a good result, Amy! Keep us updated on how long it lasts. Perhaps because I have had SD for so long, I expect doctors to give me whatever dose I want (and they do but I'm so used to what works that it makes sense that way). Because you're the patient and the one dealing with the results so it should be up to you! :) But eventually once you figure out how long it lasts and what length of time is acceptable to you, you could get higher doses, etc. The high pitched voice should subside and your voice will hopefully turn to normal and then last a good 2-3 months after that point. But gosh yeah, it's so great to get that relief. One thing to do with background noise if you have an accommodating listening is to tell the person you're talking with to cover their opposing ear. That's more helpful if you're sitting next to someone in a loud restaurant and want that person to hear you, not so much for customer sales, but hey, it really depends on how informal the situation is! Some folks can be very accommodating. Good luck,
