I used botox for ADSD bilaterally. Unilateral was no good for me as i was moderate to severe. It worked 100% for me 3-4 months at a time. My internist told me that botox injections can vary not only if the right spot is hit, but also because botox can be unstable. It will be weaker if the bottle has been shaken, been open too long or if the botox clings to the sides of the bottle. So there are a lot of variables.I got tired of the down time with botox and finally had the SLAD-R surgery for ADsd. I'm happy to have my voice back. I have an essential tremor that the surgery does not address, but I can talk without spasms now.
