You are not alone TerryPat. I am also searching for a job where I don't have to speak much. I lost my lucrative sales job recently because my voice has failed even with high doses of botox. I am considering long distance big rig driving, amongst other things, and I am college degreed and very well educated, but we do what we have to do. I bought a voice amplification device that fits on my belt, about the size of two cell phones, I wear a small mic near my mouth, and people can hear me now. I will send you the link if you wish.
