*Featured at this, our third meeting, is a “beaded button brooch” workshop! Our leader will be Althea Church who says she is delighted to be visiting our SD group again. As our “fingers fly” we can visit with each other and talk or not talk! You will leave the workshop with your own handmade button brooch. Examples are attached. These are great to wear yourself or make perfect gifts.

Guys, no doubt you have a friend, wife, mother, daughter, or aunt who would love to receive this from you, so I’m expecting you to be there! Several years ago I went to one of Althea’s workshops and gave the brooch to my mother.

Please Bring: a large button, at least one inch in diameter - this can be an antique or something new.

Other materials and detailed instructions will be provided.

Althea has been a crafts designer for over 20 years working in media including beadwork, paper arts and bookmaking, doll making, knitting and crochet and millinery. Several of her designs have won best in show awards in the Easter States Exposition and the Delta Fair, and her designs have been published in various books and magazines.
