Having had ABD SD for many years, which for me has always been a "Quality of Life Issue", five months ago new symptoms were added, severe non-productive cough, voice hoarsness, and inability to clear the throat.
After seeing a number of physicians the concensus was that it was my Acid Reflux (GERD), acting up, Prilosec was increased to no avail. Several days ago i saw a new general ENT physician, she found considerable mucous in the sinuses, nasal passages, and throat. She told me to use Mucinex twice a day, and a remarkable simple gadget called a "Neti Pot", to irrigate the nose, and sinuses, twice a day. Within 24 hours, cough, hoarsness, and throat clearing problem vanished. Hope springs eternal, now all i have to deal with is the SD :))
PS- I do not own stock in either company, only relating my experience with an ENT problem.
