Hi Jamie, My name is Kathie and I live in VA. I've been in law enforcement for 18 years as a dispatcher. I have ABSD also. I recently found out about 3 months ago. I've have the same symptoms as you with the breathing, etc. It's been really hard as I've been off from work since 1/1. I'm now off without pay. I really miss work. I have a scanner in my home and I know I need to take it out as it makes me cry. I hear all my friends talking and wish that I could be there doing the same. I loved dispatching. I always have. I went to my doctor last week and was told that he didn't want to give me the botox shots. Said it was only a treatment and didn't want to put me through the pain. I was also told that I'd never dispatch again. That was one of the hardest things I've ever had to deal with. I don't want to discourage you but I felt like I had to tell you my story. You're not alone by any means. I was sent to the board by someone that I've met online that has SD also. She's been a great minter for me. I also have pity parties so maybe we can have one together. Hang in there or I'll say lets hang in there together.
