I've been turned down twice and now await my hearing date which can take up to two years here in Ohio. It's been two years since I first applied.My original diagnoses were SD and Fibromyalgia. Now I've added on Peripheral Neuropathy so hopefully now that I've hired a lawyer it'll go through. It's a long and frustrating road. I will say that if they think you can do anything else, then they usually won't okay you. And you can get free special training through the state for a different kind of job.
Not to discourage you but it's usually a 2-3 year process. I've decided to fight for it.
