Hey Kathie, I am a realtor & have thought about applying for disability myself. I know a lady w/AB/SD who is on it, & she said it took several years to be approved. She said to definitely get an attorney who specializes in this & I beleive she said there was a cap of $5000.00 on what he could charge her, but still that is a lot if you were not expecting it.
