Edit
Hey Adam, I am new to board as well. Today was my first post. I am the one in this thread who said I was considering surgery. Who did your SLAD surgery? Do you remember what they said was the chance that your symptoms would re-occur & are the doctors giving you any options or suggestions for moving forward? I am really sorry that it didn't work for you. My SD started really young, but I was never diagnosed. I was able to talk around alot of it & hid it from everyone. I am 36 now & it is more severe( all of my existing dystonias worsened & some new symtoms popped up after I had my son about 5 years ago. If anyone has any input on dystonia & having children I would like to hear it). I am a very "chatty" person & I am a realtor so I am on the phone a lot. I do not do Botox, so It is a daily struggle. I do feel lucky though that my other issues are pretty minor-the voice thing is the worst. I have felt alone as well, but it is really nice to hear everyones experiences & read all of the the supportive comments. Hang in there, we will all be thinking about you & hope that something better will come your way. Sheila.
